Zambia Tour Day One
Arrived at 6am after a good flight out to Lusaka. The group were generally tired after the long overnight flight but were excited about what lay ahead.
Uganda 2010 Phase 2 and Tour Party returns
The touring party has arrived back in the U.K. having completed the Mbale leg of the tour, attended a reception at the High Commission Social Club and held an all-comers fun Tag Tournament in Kampala. But let’s go back a week ….
Tag Rugby Trust – Uganda 2010 … First Phase (Jinja) complete
The first weeks training schedule and Tournament have been completed and was a fantastic success. As is usual with TRT Tours, the volunteers found the first few days to be chaotic with group sizes varying from 30 to more than 80! The enthusiasm and athleticism of the children has been extraordinary and all the coaches have been blown away by it.
Tag Rugby Trust Tour Season 2010 gets underway in Uganda
It’s fantastic to be back in Uganda, reunited with our local employees and volunteers and hearing stories of their work with Tag Rugby over the last year first hand, the highlight of which must be the Grand Kampala Tournament featuring 24 teams held two weeks ago.
Kampala Tag Rugby Festival
The 2010 Tag rugby Tournament preparations kicked off with three weeks coaching in 20 Schools around Kampala. Twenty coaches got involved in the school training with aid from the school sports teachers who had just achieved coaching skills from a one-day tag Rugby workshop.

Uganda 2010 volunteer James Hastings-Trew has secured a VIP box at the Kempton Park Evening Races on Wed June 2nd.
Regina gets better and better
Currently, there’s no scrumhalf in Uganda as good as her. We travel to Kenya next weekend and I think she stands a good chance of making it onto the final 22 because she has been included on the training squad again. I hope she gets on, she really deserves it.
Tour season is getting close
Last month we told you what a busy start to the year it has been for the Tag Rugby Trust (TRT). Now we are firmly focused on preparing for the three Tours running in June & July to Uganda and Zambia.
Tag Rugby in Luanshya
Tag Rugby was officially launched to the community kids of Luanshya at Roan rugby Football club on Saturday 29Th May 2010.
